Tile & Stone Flooring Care

Your Manufacturer Knows Best

Whenever you develop a cleaning routine, be sure to reference your tile product’s warranty information for specific care requirements as recommended by the manufacturer.

Routine Tile Cleaning

As needed, sweep your tile floor to remove any dirt or grit. Wipe all liquid spills promptly, both to avoid staining & for your own safety, as tile floors can become slippery when wet.

Once per week, damp mop using a cleaner with a neutral pH that’s also compatible with grout. Never use detergents or soaps, as these can dull the surface of your floor and promote the growth of mildew. You cleaners should also not contain acids, vinegar, chlorine or ammonia, all of which can damage or discolor both the grout and the tile itself.

As a preventative measure, use protective mats at all entryways and place furniture pads under all table and chair legs.
